Description

This isn’t a conference or a technical workshop. It’s an opportunity to get in the room with people working in and with tech. Join the Virginia Black Chamber for a special technology-focused Coffee & Connections Bringing together tech entrepreneurs, AI innovators, business owners, professionals, and ecosystem partners to exchange ideas, explore emerging technology, and create opportunities for collaboration. What happens in the room? I would give the event some intentional structure rather than making it only open networking: AI & Tech Talk: A short conversation with 2–3 people working in different areas of technology about what they’re seeing in the industry. What Are You Building? Give tech entrepreneurs 30–60 seconds to introduce themselves and what they’re working on. Collaboration Exchange: Attendees share either “I’m looking for…” or “I can help with…” This immediately creates opportunities for connections. Tech Meets Business: A practical conversation about how AI, cybersecurity, software, data, automation, digital tools, and emerging technologies are affecting businesses beyond the traditional tech sector. Coffee + Connections: Dedicated networking time for people to actually continue the conversations. That last piece is important because it makes the event relevant to every industry. A construction company, nonprofit, retailer, government contractor, marketing agency, restaurant owner, or consultant may not consider themselves “tech,” but technology is affecting how they operate
