The Shoes She Left Me
The Shoes She Left Me

Description
A physical, cultural entry point into mother-daughter relationships: what was passed down, what was withheld, & what we're walking in today.
Rooted in Dr. Steele's original research and her book Unmothered by Black Mothers, this workshop holds space for every kind of story. Bring a pair of shoes that represent the relationship you have or had with your mother, whether it's good, bad, or indifferent. If the relationship is indescribable, then don't bring a pair at all, because that kind of story matters, too.
It'll be an evening full of connection, understanding, and healing as we explore maternal histories, untold truths, and the shoes that carry us through time. No formalities, just honest conversations and open hearts. Come as you are and step into this meaningful experience!
